War

A+ A-

If the eyes of people weren't blind
If God's house wasn't far away
I'd go until dawn
I'd hit his wall with an axe
If he was asleep
He'd wake up
If he was drunk and confused
He'd become sober

I'd pull him out of your room
I'd put him under that hot sun
I'd pour water with my hands on his face
I'd cleanse all this shame from his body

You're God
You're the only and righteous one
You're generous
You're merciful
You shouldn't be bad

Get up, see the sun, what fire
Get up, see this water
Get up, see this earth
Don't let this world get worse than this

You went, you sat in the book
Water's rationed for the poor
Your worker's sweat dried on his cheeks
Your name's carved on the gun
On the mask

You're God
You know, you're God

If anything can be done
Only you can do it

Get up, see the sun, what fire
Get up, see this water
Get up, see this earth
Don't let this world get worse than this
