Bio
Hirbod Human, an esteemed Iranian-American writer, filmmaker, and philosopher, has devoted his life to enriching and assisting communities through learning. Born amidst the Islamic Rebellion (Revolution) in Iran in 1978, he witnessed firsthand the challenges of war and societal upheaval. Despite these early obstacles, by the age of sixteen, Hirbod had already embarked on a promising path, working as a young reporter for the Iranian Broadcasting Service and acting in a notable, though eventually censored, soap opera. His academic pursuits led him to acquire a comprehensive education, achieving degrees in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Art Research, and Print/Publishing.
In 2002, after his graduation, Hirbod moved to California, United States, where his creative and academic endeavors expanded. He has seamlessly merged his artistic and business acumen, evident from his early achievement of establishing a leading advertising and publishing agency in Iran at the age of twenty. In America, Hirbod pursued further studies in music, art and humanity, cinema, and business, enhancing his multifaceted career.
Hirbod’s commitment to societal improvement is highlighted by his initiative to educate people, particularly those from the Middle East and Iran, about vital issues such as social justice, mental health, human rights, and politics. In 2023, he became a certified human rights educator and consultant, initiating a Farsi radio program dedicated to human rights education.
His artistic passion led him to found Mayten's Contemporary Art Gallery in Toronto in 2020, curating exhibitions that captivated critics and the public alike. Additionally, Hirbod founded TRIXMEDIA, a branding and consulting firm in Beverly Hills, attracting major clients like Coca-Cola, Starbucks, and Hilton Hotels.
Hirbod has shared his knowledge and passion through the Entrepreneurship for Creatives micro-credential part of the OCAD program, guiding creative minds towards blending artistic pursuits with entrepreneurial success. His leadership roles include serving as an Executive Board Member at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery in Toronto and as a Member of the Board of Advisors for Authors Ai and Binge Books in Florida, showcasing his commitment to the arts and literature.
Moreover, Hirbod has enriched the arts and film community by serving as a juror at several art and film festivals, further contributing to the cultural landscape through his discerning eye and expertise. An innovator in e-commerce since 2008, Hirbod has also made significant contributions to documentary filmmaking and broadcasting, including running successful podcasts. One notable podcast, "Hirbod and Herms" (in Farsi), delves into psychology, sociology, and behavioral skills, further demonstrating his diverse talents and dedication to fostering understanding and improvement in human interactions.
In 2024, Hirbod was admitted to Florida Atlantic University for the Fall semester to study the doctorate program of Philosophy in Comparative Studies’ new track in Design, Aesthetics, and the Arts.
