Essence of Silence

A+ A-

Oh, you intoxicated merchant of thoughts,
Cease your words,
Be silent,
And do not be distressed.

Life has embraced me
Like a mother
Her cherished child she holds close.

Talk of good and bad,
Of mountains and valleys,
What have they to do with us?
Cease your words,
For neither good nor bad,
Neither mountain nor valley exists here.

In this realm we inhabit,
Nothing is right nor wrong,
Neither you exist, nor do I,
Cease your words.

Nothing must be said,

In this realm where we reside,
Nothing must be,
Nothing must become,
Until from nothing,
The essence of speech is born.
