"Intellectual Revolt," made by Hirbod Human in 2023, is a documentary that deeply analyzes the realities behind the facade of the 1979 uprising in Iran and four decades of oppression towards the Iranian people. The film investigates the Russian method of overthrow and its role in the fall of the Pahlavi dynasty and its impacts on Iran, showing how Russian tactics and strategies have played a role in shaping the uprising and political aftermaths in Iran. Not only as a historical documentary but also as a warning to prevent history from repeating itself and to liberate people from the traps of flawed intelligence tools and populism, the film aims to provide an opportunity for awareness and liberation from the repetitive cycles of oppression.
